Netball

£2,784 has been raised from 72 donors.

Hello- we are UYNC and we’re raising money to fund coaching opportunities and purchase essential equipment for our club, help us improve training and keep membership costs low despite rising university fees to make netball more accessible to students. Your support will enhance our players’ experience, boost our competitive success, and create a stronger, super successful sporting community!

Our Story

The University of York Netball Club (UYNC) is a thriving and competitive club, home to three teams competing across three BUCS divisions. With over 30 dedicated players, we train three times a week, working hard to improve our skills, fitness, and teamwork to represent York at the highest level.

To continue competing at our highest standard, we urgently need new netballs and access to coaching to enhance our training sessions. The cost of essential equipment and coaching is rising, and as a student-run club, we really value all the generous donations that we raise during Challenge Week.

By supporting us, you’ll be helping our players train with the right equipment, gain valuable coaching insights, and compete at their best in BUCS. Your donation will directly impact our 30+ members, ensuring they have everything they need to develop their skills and take York netball to the next level.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a huge difference. Please donate and help us keep UYNC thriving!

Where will the money go?

We’re fundraising to provide new netballs and coaching for UYNC, helping our teams train effectively and compete at their best in BUCS. Your support will directly enhance our club’s development, ensuring our players have the resources they need to succeed.

How Your Donations Will Help:

£500 – Buys brand-new netballs for all teams, improving training quality.

£1,500 – Covers coaching sessions to develop skills and tactics.

£3,500 – Funds regular coaching throughout the season, elevating our performance.

£5,000+ – Enables long-term investment in equipment and coaching, securing UYNC’s future success.

Why is this so important?

This funding means the world to UYNC. It’s not just about improving our performance—it’s about creating an environment where every player feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

With better equipment and top-quality coaching, we can elevate our training, helping players grow in skill and confidence while fostering a deep love for the game. The guidance of dedicated coaches will refine technique, enhance strategy, and empower our team to compete at their very best in BUCS and at Roses.

Your support ensures that every player has the opportunity to develop, thrive, and be part of something truly special at UYNC.
